Antony Malmo

Chief Dot-Connector

Antony is the Chief Dot-Connector at the Centre for Applied Transformation. Antony leads client engagement and ecosystem strategy at C4AT, helping organisations see the patterns that matter. With deep roots in ecology, complexity science, systems thinking, and psychosocial risk, he specialises in translating complexity into clarity—bridging strategic intent, human behaviour, and organisational design.

He brings cross-sector experience in corporate mental health, education, social health, and primary industries, where he has helped leaders and teams build adaptive capacity and work more coherently in the face of volatility.

His recent projects have included:

  • Developing the Adaptive Capacity Index: Co-developed C4AT’s flagship diagnostic tool—designing the framework, reporting architecture, and underlying methodology
  • Systems for Role Clarity & Accountability: Supported clients to improve governance, clarify expectations, and mitigate psychosocial risk through role design and systems alignment.
  • Complexity Capability Building: Led development initiatives to strengthen the sensemaking and adaptive capacity of senior leadership in the utilities sector as part of a broader cultural transformation.
  • Collective Intelligence and Collaborative Decision Making: Assisted leadership team in cultivating collective intelligence and collaborative decision-making to improve direction, alignment and commitment across teams during a major restructure.

Antony is driven by a desire to work from first principles, challenge assumptions, and help leaders focus on what matters most. He is especially attuned to how digital systems and the modern infosphere distort collective sensemaking—and is committed to restoring coherence in how organisations and communities collaborate.

Before joining C4AT, Antony played a key role in scaling a national Employee Assistance Program provider, helping shift its focus from reactive support to systemic prevention of mental health risks. He also consulted to clients in banking, manufacturing, and engineering—often in high-stakes, high-volatility environments, including conflict regions around the world.

Antony has a Bachelor of Science/Arts majoring in Biology and Psychology and is currently training in Relational Gestalt Psychotherapy. He has certifications in Change Management from APMG International as well as Quantitative and Qualitative Research methods from University of Amsterdam.
