Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Policy

1) Purpose

The Centre for Applied Transformation (C4AT) is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace and consulting practice. This policy ensures that DEI principles are embedded in our operations, decision-making, and client engagements. By integrating DEI into our work, we enhance innovation, adaptability, and long-term success for our organisation and the businesses we support.

2) Scope

This policy applies to all C4AT employees, associates, contractors, and partners. It guides internal workplace practices, recruitment, client engagements, and external collaborations.

3) Policy Statement

C4AT recognises that diverse perspectives drive better decision-making and more effective transformation strategies. We are committed to eliminating systemic barriers and fostering a culture of inclusion, where individuals from all backgrounds are valued and empowered.

4) Definitions

  • Diversity: The recognition and value of differences in backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, including race, gender, age, ability, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, and more.
  • Equity: Ensuring fair treatment, access, and opportunities while actively identifying and addressing barriers that prevent full participation.
  • Inclusion: Creating an environment where all individuals feel welcomed, respected, and able to contribute fully.

5) Key Commitments and Actions

To implement this policy, C4AT will:

  • Recruitment and Employment: Ensure equitable hiring practices that mitigate bias and promote workforce diversity.
  • Workplace Culture: Cultivate an inclusive environment through training, open dialogue, and proactive measures against discrimination and bias.
  • Client Engagement: Embed DEI principles into our consulting methodologies, helping clients create inclusive systems of work, leadership, and culture.
  • Accountability and Reporting: Regularly assess and report on DEI initiatives, measuring impact through feedback and key performance indicators.

6) Roles and Responsibilities

  • Leadership Team: Responsible for championing DEI initiatives, ensuring accountability, and integrating DEI into organisational strategy.
  • Employees and Associates: Expected to uphold DEI principles in all aspects of their work and interactions.
  • Partners and Clients: Encouraged to align with DEI values and adopt inclusive practices in collaboration with C4AT.

7) Governance and Compliance

This policy aligns with relevant Australian anti-discrimination laws and global DEI best practices. The leadership team at C4AT is responsible for ensuring adherence to this policy, and all employees and associates are expected to uphold its principles.

8) Reporting and Review

  • Any concerns related to DEI should be discussed with the leadership team.
  • This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness. Updates will be made in response to organisational needs, legislative changes, and evolving best practices in DEI.
